Lighting the Way to Sustainability: Our Partnership with Greenspark

If you already know about us, you know we’re all about self-care and wellness. But more than that,  here at Innerfyre Co, we're all about spreading the love – not just through our candles that give out messages of affirmation but also by giving a big hug to Mother Earth.

That's why we're excited to share our latest eco-friendly adventure: teaming up with Greenspark! With this collaboration, we're diving headfirst into doing our bit for the planet.

Think of it as our way of sending a thank you note to nature – so we're

    • offsetting 10kgs of CO2
    • rescuing 2 plastic bottles from the ocean
    • planting a tree

    to keep the earth smiling!

Greenspark is founded on the insightful premise that the traditional business model must evolve to address the urgent environmental challenges facing our world today.

They champion the idea that every business, regardless of its size, can serve as a catalyst for change, creating meaningful environmental impacts with ease and efficiency. Their platform empowers companies to integrate sustainable actions into their daily operations, facilitating a transition towards a more responsible and eco-conscious business model.

    Planting Trees

Among the initiatives we're supporting through Greenspark is the Eden Reforestation Projects, which exemplifies the symbiotic relationship between environmental restoration and socio-economic development.

By employing local communities to plant trees, this project not only combats deforestation but also fosters economic empowerment, illustrating the multifaceted benefits of environmental sustainability.

    Rescuing Plastic from the Oceans

Furthermore, in addressing the pressing issue of plastic pollution, Greenspark's efforts to recycle and reuse plastic aligns with our commitment to minimising waste and promoting a circular economy.

Plastic pollution poses a significant risk to our oceans and marine life. According to the United Nations, an alarming 8 million tonnes of plastic waste find their way into our waterways annually.

If the current consumption and disposal rates of single-use plastics persist, it is projected that by 2050, our oceans could contain more plastic than fish.

Plastic Bank® tackles this issue by establishing ethical recycling systems in coastal areas and, at the same time, providing beneficial economic opportunities for the individuals involved in the collection process.

This approach not only tackles the environmental impact of plastic but also highlights the potential for innovation and resourcefulness in solving global challenges.

    Offsetting Carbon Emissions

Additionally, the introduction of improved cookstoves in Malawi represents a pragmatic solution to deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions.

The World Health Organization estimates that in low- and middle-income nations, more than 3 billion people depend on solid fuels like wood, charcoal, coal, animal dung, and crop residues, which are not energy-efficient. This initiative aims to assist rural households in Malawi in moving away from traditional three-stone cooking fires towards more energy-efficient cookstoves, known locally as "changu changu motos."

This initiative not only conserves biodiversity but also significantly enhances the quality of life for women, reducing the time and labour involved in firewood collection.

Help Us Do More for Mother Earth

Through our collaboration with Greenspark, we aim to contribute to a larger narrative of environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Our commitment to using 100% pure essential oils, premium coconut wax, and rice bran wax in our products is a reflection of our ethos. We believe that mindfulness extends to how we interact with our environment, and every small action can lead to substantial positive change.

We invite all of you, who share our passion for sustainability, to join us in this meaningful endeavour. Together, we can make a difference, creating a legacy of care that extends beyond ourselves to the world we all share.
